Cinematic Luxe Media is committed to providing a creative, professional, indie-friendly, welcoming, and entertaining environment for filmmakers, artists, writers, creators, audiences, members, and supporters.
Participation in Cinematic Luxe Media community areas is a privilege, not an unrestricted right.
By creating an eligible account, purchasing or activating a Membership, entering a chatroom, posting content, participating in a group, communicating with another member, or otherwise using a Cinematic Luxe community feature, you agree to comply with these Community Guidelines & User Conduct Policy.
ALL CINEMATIC LUXE SUBSCRIPTIONS AND CHATROOMS ARE 18+ ONLY.
You must be at least 18 years old to:

Cinematic Luxe Media may suspend or terminate the applicable account, Membership, chat access, community access, or related privileges.
No person under 18 has permission to bypass, falsify, circumvent, or misrepresent their age in order to access these areas.
Attempts to do so may result in permanent removal from the relevant Cinematic Luxe community services.

The community is not intended to become a hostile social-media environment, unrestricted debate platform, adult-content platform, dating service, illegal marketplace, piracy hub, harassment platform, or place for personal attacks.

3. AGE REQUIREMENT — STRICTLY 18+
3.1 Subscription Eligibility
A person must be 18 years of age or older to independently purchase, activate, or maintain a Cinematic Luxe paid subscription.
Current paid Memberships may include:

By purchasing or activating a Membership, you represent that you are at least 18 years old.
3.2 Chatroom Eligibility
All Cinematic Luxe chatrooms and interactive community discussion areas designated as member chat spaces are 18+ only.
This includes, where available:

3.3 No Exceptions Through Parental Permission
Unless Cinematic Luxe Media expressly creates a separate youth-specific service with different published rules, parental or guardian permission does not grant a person under 18 access to an 18+ Cinematic Luxe chatroom or paid Membership.
3.4 Underage Film Participants
Cinematic Luxe may separately operate:

Student film categories

Youth-led film categories

Youth creator programs
-
Youth screenings
-
Other programs involving minors
Participation in such a film or creator program does not grant an underage participant access to the Cinematic Luxe 18+ subscription or chatroom system.
A youth filmmaker may participate in an eligible festival under the applicable festival rules while remaining prohibited from 18+ chat areas.
3.5 False Age Information
Providing a false date of birth, falsely claiming to be 18+, using another person's identity, or otherwise circumventing age restrictions is prohibited.
Cinematic Luxe may remove the account immediately.
3.6 Immediate Removal
If Cinematic Luxe reasonably determines that a person is under 18 and accessing an 18+ area, Cinematic Luxe may:

Remove the user

Suspend the account
-
Terminate the account
-
Cancel community access
-
Revoke chat privileges
-
Restrict future account creation
-
Preserve relevant records
-
Block related accounts where appropriate
No warning is required before removal.
Cinematic Luxe is not required to debate the user's age with the user before restricting access when there is a reasonable basis for action.
3.7 Refunds Following Age Violations
A user who misrepresents age in order to obtain an adult-only Membership or community access is not automatically entitled to a refund.
Any refund will be determined under applicable law, the Membership Terms, payment-provider requirements, and the facts of the situation.
Nothing in these Guidelines eliminates consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.
4. PG-13 COMMUNITY STANDARD
Although Cinematic Luxe community spaces are restricted to adults, they are not adult-content communities.
The general community standard is approximately PG-13 in tone and presentation.
Being 18+ does not authorize members to post:

Treat other users as people, not targets.
Members may disagree strongly about:

6. HARASSMENT IS PROHIBITED
Members may not engage in conduct intended to intimidate, humiliate, torment, pressure, threaten, or repeatedly target another person.

Following someone across multiple groups to continue an argument

Encouraging others to attack a member

Mocking a person's appearance

7. BULLYING
Cyberbullying is prohibited.
This includes:

Mocking disabilities or vulnerabilities

8. THREATS
Threats of violence, harm, stalking, retaliation, property damage, or other unlawful conduct are prohibited.
Cinematic Luxe may immediately escalate credible threats to:

Platform administrators
-
Hosting providers
-
Law enforcement
-
Emergency services
-
Other appropriate authorities
where reasonably necessary or legally required.
9. HATE SPEECH
Hate speech is prohibited.
Members may not attack, demean, threaten, or promote hostility against people based on legally protected or comparable personal characteristics.
Prohibited conduct includes:

Slurs

Dehumanizing language

Calls for exclusion or violence

Hate propaganda

Supremacist advocacy

Targeted degrading stereotypes

Celebration of violence against protected groups
Contextual discussion of hate speech within film criticism, history, journalism, education, or artistic analysis may be permitted when the purpose is legitimate and not promotional.
10. DISCRIMINATION
Cinematic Luxe may take action against discriminatory behavior that materially interferes with community participation.
Examples include:

Refusing to interact with someone solely to demean a protected group

Discriminatory harassment

Discriminatory employment solicitations posted through the community

Exclusionary creator opportunities that violate applicable law

Repeated identity-based abuse
11. POLITICAL DISCUSSION
Cinematic Luxe community spaces are primarily intended for entertainment, filmmaking, creator discussion, and cultural conversation.
General partisan political campaigning, electioneering, political recruitment, and prolonged political arguments are prohibited in ordinary Cinematic Luxe community spaces.
Members may not use CLuxe groups to:

Moderators may end a political discussion whenever it becomes disruptive.
12. RELIGIOUS PROSELYTIZING
Respectful discussion of religion in relation to films, stories, history, culture, or art may be permitted.
Members may not repeatedly pressure other users to join, leave, condemn, or adopt a particular religion or belief system.
13. SEXUAL CONTENT
The following are prohibited:

14. NUDITY
Graphic nudity is prohibited in Cinematic Luxe community areas unless Cinematic Luxe expressly creates a professionally moderated review mechanism for eligible artistic material.
Posting nudity directly into general chatrooms is prohibited.
15. SEXUAL HARASSMENT
Sexual harassment includes:

Friendly relationships may naturally develop, but members may not aggressively use CLuxe spaces to:

17. GRAPHIC VIOLENCE
Members may discuss violence in:

but may not post extreme real-world gore, execution footage, graphic injury imagery, or shock material without a legitimate authorized purpose.
18. GLORIFICATION OF REAL-WORLD VIOLENCE
Cinematic Luxe may remove material that celebrates, encourages, or meaningfully facilitates real-world violence.
Fictional discussions are evaluated in context.
19. ILLEGAL ACTIVITY
Members may not use Cinematic Luxe services to plan, facilitate, sell, distribute, or promote illegal activity.
Examples include:

Reasonable creator self-promotion is encouraged in spaces where it is relevant.

25. CREATOR HUB OPPORTUNITIES
Where Cinematic Luxe operates a Creator Hub or opportunity board, posts should clearly identify whether an opportunity is:

Where Cinematic Luxe provides a Gear Marketplace, members must provide accurate information.
Listings may be required to identify:

28. MARKETPLACE SAFETY

Members may not list:

Cinematic Luxe is not automatically responsible for private transactions between community members.
Cinematic Luxe may cooperate with investigations and may suspend users engaged in fraudulent marketplace activity.

35. TRADEMARKS & BRAND MISUSE
Members may not use Cinematic Luxe branding to falsely imply:

36. USER CONTENT OWNERSHIP
You retain ownership of eligible original content that you post.
Posting content to Cinematic Luxe does not automatically transfer ownership to Cinematic Luxe Media.
37. LIMITED PLATFORM LICENSE
By voluntarily posting content to a Cinematic Luxe community feature, you grant Cinematic Luxe a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, display, reproduce, technically process, and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate the applicable community feature.
This permission does not authorize Cinematic Luxe to claim ownership of your original creative work.
38. CONTENT REMOVAL
Cinematic Luxe may remove content that:

Members should avoid opening links from unknown users.

Members may discuss or share lawful AI-assisted creative work.
However, members may not use synthetic media to:

Impersonate another member

Commit fraud

Falsely manufacture evidence

Create deceptive endorsements

Misrepresent a real creator's participation
Cinematic Luxe may require disclosure that material is AI-generated or materially AI-altered where necessary to prevent deception.
49. FALSE REVIEWS
Members may not intentionally fabricate reviews in exchange for undisclosed compensation or coordinated manipulation.
50. REVIEW DISAGREEMENTS
Negative reviews are allowed.
Personal attacks against the reviewer are not.
Filmmakers may respond professionally but may not pressure reviewers to change scores or opinions.
51. FESTIVAL VOTING INTEGRITY
Festival voting must follow applicable Cinematic Luxe voting rules.
Members may not:

Purchasing Standard, Premium, or VIP does not provide:

55. SPOILERS
Members should use reasonable spoiler warnings in designated discussion areas when discussing newly released films or Cinematic Luxe content.
Moderators may establish specific spoiler periods.
56. GAME CHEATING
Members may not manipulate:

Reward points

57. CLUXE POINTS & REWARDS
Where points or rewards exist, members may not:

58. BUG EXPLOITATION
If a member discovers a technical error that generates excessive points, discounts, entries, rewards, or access, the member should report it.

61. ACCOUNT SHARING
Unless expressly allowed, community Membership accounts are intended for one person.
Members may not share accounts to:

Where Cinematic Luxe determines that a user has committed a clear and serious violation, especially an age violation, Cinematic Luxe may remove that user immediately and without prior debate, interview, warning, or opportunity to continue participating.
Nothing requires Cinematic Luxe to negotiate community access with a violator.
Community access remains subject to Cinematic Luxe's rules and applicable law.
73. NO GUARANTEED APPEAL
Cinematic Luxe may offer a review or appeal mechanism in certain circumstances.
Unless required by applicable law, no user is guaranteed an appeal following:

Retaliating against someone for making a good-faith safety or policy report is prohibited.

81. SUBSCRIPTION TERMINATION AFTER MISCONDUCT
A serious violation may result in termination of access associated with a paid Membership.
Termination for misconduct does not necessarily create a right to a prorated refund.

Membership discounts and other benefits may stop when Membership access is terminated.

92. CASTING & TALENT SAFETY
Casting notices posted through Cinematic Luxe must not request:

93. FINANCIAL SOLICITATION

94. MULTI-LEVEL MARKETING
MLM, pyramid schemes, and recruitment-based sales schemes may be prohibited from community areas.
95. GAMBLING PROMOTION
Users may not operate unauthorized betting pools, lotteries, paid games of chance, or gambling services through Cinematic Luxe community features.
96. COMMERCIAL ADVERTISING
Commercial advertising unrelated to filmmaking, entertainment, CLuxe community interests, or approved creator opportunities may be removed.
97. THIRD-PARTY LINKS
Members remain responsible for links they post.

100. SPOOFING CLUXE COMMUNICATIONS
Creating fake Cinematic Luxe emails, announcements, award notices, rejection notices, certificates, festival laurels, or moderator communications is prohibited.

Filmmakers may use legitimate Cinematic Luxe awards and laurels according to applicable festival rules.
Creating fake CLuxe awards or falsely claiming selection may result in enforcement.
102. PRESS & MEDIA
Members may not falsely represent themselves as authorized Cinematic Luxe press.
Where press credentials or press areas exist, additional rules may apply.
103. INTERVIEWS
Members should obtain appropriate permission before recording or publishing private conversations as interviews.
Official Cinematic Luxe interviews may be governed by separate permissions.

Members should not secretly record private member conversations where doing so would violate:

Cinematic Luxe Media reserves the right, consistent with applicable law, to protect that environment.
YOU MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER TO PURCHASE OR ACTIVATE A CINEMATIC LUXE PAID SUBSCRIPTION OR PARTICIPATE IN CINEMATIC LUXE CHATROOMS AND ADULT MEMBER COMMUNITY AREAS.
UNDERAGE ACCESS IS PROHIBITED.
USERS WHO VIOLATE THIS AGE REQUIREMENT MAY BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING OR DISCUSSION.
